Bandits Fall To Encinitas Reds in Nail Biter
by Staff Writer
Nov. 22, 2003-On the coldest evening of the year, the Bandits and Reds played a 2 ½
hour slugfest that produced 33 runs. Unfortunately when the dust settled and the runs
were tallied, the Bandits came up one run short of victory. The Reds built a huge lead by
scoring eleven runs in the second inning. But the Bandits did not give up. Battling back
one run at a time, and with ten runs scored in the bottom of the last inning, the Bandits
nearly pulled off the upset of the year. The final score was Reds 17, Bandits 16. The
Bandits will remember this game for a long time.
